2. Executive Summary
This project is a dedicated Infaq Initiative by MyGuide Malaysia to support the New Muslim (Mualaf) community in the Simbu Province. By transforming local land into a productive vegetable garden, we are providing a foundation for spiritual growth through physical self-sufficiency and communal labor.
3. Project Goals
Livelihood Support: Establishing a consistent food supply for Mualaf families.
Community Integration: Using the garden as a hub for teamwork and brotherhood.
Sustainable Development: Moving beyond one-off aid toward long-term farming solutions.
4. Agricultural Focus
We are cultivating four primary crops selected for their nutritional value and suitability for the Highlands climate:
Potato & Onion: Durable staples essential for long-term storage and daily meals.
Broccoli & Cabbage: High-yield, nutrient-dense greens to improve community health.
5. Funding Requirements
Total Funding Needed: RM 6,000
This budget covers all essential startup and maintenance costs:
Land Preparation: Labor for clearing, tilling, and securing the plot in Kundiawa.
Seed Supply: Procurement of high-quality Broccoli, Potato, Onion, and Cabbage seeds.
Tools & Hardware: Necessary equipment including shovels, hoes, and machetes.
Soil Nutrition: Organic fertilizers and sustainable pest management.
Management: Logistics and coordination overseen by Mazli Wan Othman and Imam Husein.
6. Management Team
MyGuide Malaysia: Strategic oversight and fundraising lead.
Mazli Wan Othman (Country Coordinator): Project monitoring, reporting, and financial transparency.
Imam Husein (Local Lead): On-ground execution and daily community mobilization.
